Do You Have A Home In Heaven?

I John 5:13 "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."

There Are 4 Simple Steps To Knowing Heaven Is Your Eternal Home

Step 1

1. Admit You Are A Sinner

The reason we “come short” of God’s glory is because we are not perfect. We have all sinned. “All” includes you and me. There is simply no one that is perfect. No matter how hard we try, we will always be a sinner. The first step toward knowing what the Bible says about Heaven is recognizing that no one is perfect.

Romans 3:23

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

Romans 3:10

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:”

Romans 6:23a

“For the wages of sin is death. . .”

Revelation 20:14

“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.”

Step 2

2. Realize The Price On Sin

Death is a natural part of life, but eternal death is the penalty (or wage) for our sin. Another term for this type of death is “the second death.”

Regardless of your standing with most sins, no one could stand before God and say they are not a liar. The Bible says that all liars shall have part in the “second death,” the lake of fire.

The second step is understanding that your sin comes with a price and that price is death in a place called Hell forever.

3. Recognize That Jesus Christ Died For Your Sins

Romans 5:8But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Romans 6:23b “…But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Although sin brings eternal death, God provided a way for us to receive eternal life. Notice that eternal life is only obtained “through Jesus Christ.” It can not be achieved through being a good person, going to church, or being baptized.

Romans 10:9

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Romans 10:13

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Step 4

4. Accept Christ’s Payment For Your Sin

Jesus died for everyone’s sin, but not everyone is on their way to Heaven. You must personally receive God’s gift of eternal life. You must believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and ask Him to save you.

If you would like to trust Jesus as your Saviour, simply bow your head right now and humbly:

  1. Admit to God that you are a sinner.
  2. Tell Him you believe that Jesus died for you.
  3. Ask Him to forgive your sins and save your soul.
  4. Believe that He promised to save you.
